This image came in an intuitive fashion. As it developed, I decided to re-write the tale of Rapunzel. In my story, there is no rescuer coming to save her, because she would rescue herself. The imagery also became a play on the idea of looking outside yourself (out the window, waiting for your hero) for the answers, when they reside within you. So, yes, there is this beautiful landscape outside her window, but within her there is an equally beautiful landscape from which to draw upon, and it's right there for her whenever she needs it. There's nothing to search for, there's nothing to wait for. The answers lie within. Approximately 17”x22”, with acrylic and collage on paper.
